N22 - Northern Ring Road - Current Stage:

The Scheme has been divided into a Northern Section; linking the N20 Cork to Mallow Road with the N8 Glanmire Bypass, and a Western Section; linking the Ballincollig Bypass with the N20.

A Route Selection Report was prepared by the National Roads Office identifying a preferred route corridor for the Northern Section in July 2006.

Fehily Timoney Gifford/Fehily Timoney Ramboll as Consulting Engineers for the Scheme in conjunction with the National Roads Office have prepared a route selection report identifying a preferred route corridor for the Western Section. (Dec 2008)

The development of the Northern Ring Road is being promoted by both Cork City Council and Cork County Council and is funded by the National Roads Authority (NRA).
