Download Brochure At the commencement of the scheme it is proposed to upgrade the Bloomfield Interchange to accommodate the proposed dual carriageway. The preferred emerging route corridor follows the red option as outlined at the route corridor options stage, as far as the Shannonpark roundabout.This option would avoid existing dwellings along Moneygurney at the top of Carr's Hill. It is proposed to have connectivity to the existing road networks at Moneygurneyand Shannonpark in the form of grade separated junctions as indicated on this brochure.

N28 - Bloomfield - Ringaskiddy Scheme - Preferred Route Corridor The N28 is a National Primary Road which links Cork City to Ringaskiddy and is situated on a peninsula located on thesouth-east of Cork city. There are a number of major businesses and industrieslocated in the Ringaskiddy area including major pharmaceutical companies, a deep water port for Cork, a rollon roll-off ferry terminal and the head quarters of the IrishNavy Service.
